You shouldn’t! I totally agree! Actually still cant believe that I studied to become a coach but here we are. All I knew was that I wanted to help other people who may be feeling like the version of me did back in 2017 when Post Partum was kicking my butt! To provide solid support without a high end price tag and no bs. Please do your due diligence and let me know if I can answer any other questions you may have.

There are so many possible symptoms and everyone is unique and so my answer is trust how you are feeling and explore the best ways to support you as an individual as everyone's experience is different. You do not need to fit into a ticklist to justify any support!
If you are suffering from hallucinations, paranoia, confusion or severe mood swings please seek medical attention immediately to support any possible Post Partum Psychosis.

The first thing I recommend to everyone is to reach out to their healthcare provider. Checking and addressing any other contributing factors to your mood and emotional wellbeing such as vitamin deficiency, low iron, hormone imbalances and any other physical issues to identify areas that may benefit from some treatment or give you piece of mind that you have eliminated anything you may be concerned about. It is never a waste of time to go check it all out!
As mentioned before, any symptoms of Post Partum Psychosis should be treated as a medical emergency rather than a regular appointment with your healthcare provider

Family and friends provide amazing support and I do not suggest talking to an outside professional INSTEAD of your support network but rather AS WELL as!
When you are able to give oxygen to your thoughts and emotions in a confidential space free of opinions, advice, judgments and boundaries you are able to be fully transparent and receive support from a different perspective…my first call with my counceller back in 2018 was the first step to feeling better…just wish I hadn’t waited 18 months to book that call!

On the contrary….I have studied and gained diplomas with distinction in:
Life Coaching
Post Natal Depression Awareness
NLP (neuro linguistic programming)
The digital guide Stepping Into Parenthood was the proud winner of a MENTL AWARD in 2023. This was a prestigious and independently judged campaign that saw me take home the award for “Best Mental Health Program For The Start-Up and SME Sector”
Combined with my own lived experience of Post Partum Depression and Anxiety, running two businesses and living in four countries outside of my home in Scotland means I have an extremely well honed approach to supporting you…I simply don't charge extortionate prices because I want to be accessible to reach and support as many people as I can not only those with a bucketful of disposable cash!

“Homebird is not a success story. It’s not a rags to riches tale.
It’s a messy, real, funny and ever evolving account of the decisions I made, the chances I took and the lessons I learned along the way.
Leaving Scotland to live overseas was never the plan, it was supposed to be a six-month trip.
Four countries, two businesses, one husband, one dog, and one son later… I’m still figuring s#!$ out.
Language barriers, homesickness, self-doubt, being kicked in the arse by post partum depression and anxiety and endless bureaucracy in countries that were never on my life map and wondering often if I was off my head... but doing it anyway.”
