How are You?

How are you??

I know things are tough right now so with no opinion, agenda or stance I wanted to share some ways to self care when the world seems too difficult to bear

As a parent I have a duty of care to my blissfully unaware son to carry on with our day to day lives as best we can

Here are a few things you can do:

Clean up your home, organise a wardrobe, deep clean something. Having a sense of control around creating a safe environment for you and your family provides a sense of certainty.

Get in touch with those that you love, in person, video chat or WhatsApp. Isolation contributes to our darker thoughts, we need to support each other.

Book a session in a smash room, exercise or scream while you are driving, find a way to let out the anger and frustration.

Write how you are feeling, whether it is a journal or a letter, whether you keep it or destroy it, taking pen to paper can help untangle what is going on in our brains.

Plan enjoyable things, buy a new book, eat the food you like, go and walk round a park, listen to the music you like, nothing is too small, if it brings you happiness, laughter or comfort then go and engage in those things.

If you would like to chat please get in touch, we can grab a coffee and jump on a zoom call

Look after yourselves, sending love and strength to you all

Nikki x
